Soup Spoon Union - Chicken Gumbo Soup

Had the Chicken Gumbo at Soup Spoon Union, Raffles City.
The Soup Spoon Union is a new concept from Soup Spoon. The same restaurant houses "The Handburger" and ""Noodle Bar"
It was a little too spicy for me. But luckily, the bread made it less spicy. >___<
The soup contains marinated chicken, potatoes, carrots, red bell peppers, green bell peppers, tomatoes, celery, lady’s fingers, herbs, spices.
Healthy choice!!! ^^

Burger King Breakfast Platter


I had the 'Breakfast Platter' at Burger King over the weekend.
Egg omelette with melted cheese and turkey ham chunks in it. Steamy and moist.
Sausage, grilled tomato, croissant and hash-brown.
Washed everything down with coffee. ^^
I really enjoyed my meal. :)

Sunday Lunch at Jack's Place, Woodlands Civic Centre


I had lunch at Jack's Place on Sunday.
I ordered the 'Jack's Special Steak', medium.
Tenderloin, beans, carrot slices, radish pieces and whole potato.
The food arrived sizzling hot and within 10 minutes. ^^
I would prefer to have more steak sauce/gravy though.....:(
Service was above average.

Weekend Brunch at Beanstro, Ngee Ann City

Since it was not really crowded, I was given a four-seater spot.
Sugar cubes are provided in the glass container.
Nice romantic candlelight. 


I ordered a regular latte. I enjoyed it very much.


I had the Egg Benedict set. 
The egg was done perfectly. Not too runny. 
Generous serving of ham.
The toasted bread was soft. Goes well with the hollandaise sauce. ^^
The salad was normal though.

Total cost: S$27++

Father's Day Feast (2013)

Chili Crab



Braised Pork Ribs.
Super tender and juicy!


Bloody big crab pincer with a tiny rib at the side -___-


Mini-buns taste heavenly when dipped in chili crab gravy


Yam ring. Soft and moist. ^^

The roasted chicken is rather ordinary. So I did not bother to take a photo of it. :P

Rice Vermicelli. The soup base is good!

Desert. Purple rice with ice-cream. This was awesome! I will be making this at home.
